When Sam has time available, he continues to volunteer for community betterment activities. In the past, this has included applying his engineering background to address community-identified problems; campaigning for issues and candidates addressing human needs; and supporting education by teaching, mentoring, recruiting, or with financial support.
Sam worked to organize phone banks and text to flip districts across the country from red to blue in 2018/9, elect Bidden/Harris in 2020, and flip the Senate in 2021. He completed projects to improve emergency preparedness for the residents the condo building where he lives. Sam lectured and mentored student teams studying entrepreneurship at UC Berkeley.
